Despite being born in Belgium, Bradley Wiggins is best known as being the first ever British winner of the Tour de France. Wiggins has also won a number of Olympic gold medals for cycling, with the first being awarded back in 2004.
This British cyclist’s career started at the age of 9 when she came first in a 900 metre race. Since then, Victoria Pendleton has won numerous awards for cycling, including a highly coveted Olympic gold medal for Great Britain.
