  NEWCIRCLE - Online BMX store. Flatland specific. Finally 2009 bring yet another great addition to the BMX community and this time its in the form of an online store that caters to the Australian flatlander. A first in Australia and to be honest it has been much needed. I was glad to hear that shredders Shane Badman and former RebelYell boy Ross D Lavendar are the brains behind launching this much needed online store. I asked Shane how it came to be and what was the inspiration behind it all and this is what he had to say... While living overseas I had a great opportunity to work with a lot of people in the flatland & BMX industry that gave me a good feel of how to go about the business side of it. I always keep a strong tie to my roots with Australia & the flatland scene here & one of the common struggles in Oz has been access to parts. Talking to Ross D Lav we were of an equal mind that we wanted to contribute something more back to the scene & the idea behind newcircle was born. At the moment it's Ross D Lav & myself directly involved, though indirectly it's every flatlander & aspiring flatlander out there! Ross & myself have different sets of skills that we offer newcircle & they work together well. newcircle is wholly Australian owned & operated yet what is unique about newcircle is that we are Flatland specific compared to other stores in Australia. For a young person looking to get involved they now have a direct place to shop, a website that provides regular news (www.flatlandaustralia.blogspot.com) & the forums & other information at Flatland Australia (www.flatlandaustralia.com). newcircle is not aiming to become the biggest store out there, but we certainly aim to have the highest level of service with excellent prices & stocking only quality products. We've started with the full Colony flatland range & we plan to expand on this in the near future with several other high profile brands. We also have a newcircle green component of the store that shows our commitment to the environment in minimising our carbon footprint. All the systems we use have been thought through to find the cleanest way to do things & is a medium for us to promote environmental awareness. I believe this is a worlds first in our industry.
